We offer you the new turntable covers in clear, which looks very good but is not original, or in smoked glass, which is original and also looks very good!
Unfortunately, the hoods are very difficult to photograph on their own!
3 mm thickness
All of our turntable covers are 3 mm thick, just like the original. This is important so the cover stays in place in all positions and doesn't fall off. The other turntable covers we offer have a material thickness of 4 mm, which makes them too heavy and will fall off from any position. You can't leave the covers half-open! Well, if you open the covers completely—yes, if there's enough space above and no shelves or anything else in the way!
transparent cover
It's a matter of taste whether you choose the transparent cover without tint or the smoked glass cover. We want to offer you both versions and leave the choice up to you. We can't decide which version really looks better!
Original
The original hood is often scratched and unsightly. The entire hood becomes dull and cloudy.
Professional restoration (sanding, polishing, etc.) is very time-consuming and expensive. Even major scratches or damage won't be removed!
Hinge
The hinges on the covers often break. These can be laboriously repaired, but it doesn't look good! The weak point of record player covers is the hinges, and a repair...
...doesn't meet our requirements, is expensive and doesn't look good!
Break points
We're seeing this more and more often, too. The plastic becomes brittle and fragile over the decades. More and more often, we're seeing turntables without covers or with broken covers. The ravages of time are taking their toll on these parts, too!

The function is there, the effort is enormous and visually...
For us at Premium-Hifi, something like this is unsellable!
It works
but see for yourself!
Not only was the repair done very poorly, but the repaired hinge had already broken again and had to be glued back together.
That's not possible, especially not with a Revox record player!
still looks relatively good!
And yet that still doesn’t meet our standards!
A professional will easily charge €40.00 or €50.00 for a repair of this quality.
We do not want to equip a Revox record player with this and offer it for sale!
