General overhaul / revision

A general overhaul or revision not only ensures perfect sound, it also increases the value of your Revox and Studer devices.
A general overhaul is significantly more comprehensive than a simple repair and is generally recommended for devices 20 years or older. A general overhaul not only ensures the current, temporary value of the device, but also increases its value, which can easily exceed the original price and has a positive impact on the subsequent sale!
A general overhaul at Premium-Hifi includes:
the Inspection and replacement of worn components
the Cleaning of printed circuit boards, contacts, displays and functional groups
the Cleaning and repair of toggle, rotary and push buttons and potentiometers
the inspection and revision of all loosening points
the Replacement of all electrolytic capacitors and tantalum capacitors
the Replace all open trimmers, even if they appear to be still good
the Replacement of mechanical wear parts
the Cleaning the front panels, control panels and housing
the Checking device-specific parameters such as synchronism, quiescent current, frequency response, and so on

During a general overhaul/revision, we at Premium-Hifi not only replace the defective components, but also replace all aging and wear-prone parts and components, which, in our experience, are responsible for over 90% of failures. Additionally, all electrolytic capacitors receive film bypass capacitors if they cannot be completely replaced with film capacitors!
The character of Revox and Studer devices will be preserved. Even after the overhaul, a Revox B750 will sound warm, perhaps a little more analytical, a little more powerful, but never cold! It will still be recognizably a Revox B750!
At Premium-Hifi, we're so confident in our work that we offer a full one-year warranty on any overhaul, which goes far beyond the statutory twelve-month warranty. Excluded are wear parts such as heads, belts, motors, analog instruments, and laser units.
