Cleaning handle

Our custom-made cleaning handle, with its curved shaft and rectangular felt, allows for easy access to any surface. The contact surface with the sound head is significantly improved.
A 1 µm film of dirt (which is not readily visible) causes up to 5 dB of attenuation. The attenuation depends on the frequency being recorded and the tape speed.

Cleaning fluid


A cleaning fluid we developed is specifically formulated to combat the abrasion of lubricating tapes. Various alcohols and surfactants ensure easy, simple, and thorough cleaning of the tape heads and tape guides.

Demagnetizer

Demagnetizing is just as important as cleaning the tape heads and tape guide!
Magnetized metal parts of the tape guide severely reduce the signal-to-noise ratio. You'll hear loud noise during recording or playback. Your recordings will be severely erased during playback. If you demagnetize the tape every time you clean it, you'll always be on the safe side!
