The transformer
Toroidal transformers for
Studer Revox B750
Why does the transformer of the Revox B750 integrated amplifier tend to hum?
Well, many amplifiers from other manufacturers don't even get old enough for their transformers to start humming! The Revox B750 amplifiers will soon be 50 years old. That's quite an age for electronics. The cut-band transformers used by Revox are already excellently suited for audio applications. However, toroidal transformers are still the better choice in the audio sector. Toroidal transformers offer comparatively high efficiency, which is particularly important here, while being compact and producing a very low stray field.
Only with a toroidal transformer can the Revox B750 amplifier drive speakers like "Quadral Titan" or "Infinity Cappa" and so on!

370 VA
is the performance of the new toroidal transformer.
With the Premium Hifi toroidal transformer you can drive all speakers that would otherwise not fit the Revox B750 amplifier.
The old transformer
must first be expanded.
To do this, all cables coming from the transformer are cut off at the voltage selector switch. Then, all other connections to and from the transformer are removed, and the transformer is unscrewed and removed.
The new transformer
can be installed after removing the old transformer. To do this, first mark the hole for the central mounting, drill a 5 mm hole, and screw the transformer in place using one of the existing screws.
The strands
We pre-assemble them and group them together. The wires of the power amplifiers (red) are fitted with 2.8 mm x 0.8 mm flat connectors. We manufacture the transformers according to the currently valid EU standard EN 61558.

Embarrassed
Bundle all the wires and route them so that they won't chafe or cause short circuits. You'll receive sufficient heat-shrink tubing and cable ties for this purpose.
The instructions describe all the necessary steps in detail.
Power socket
To guide the new wire through the protective sleeve to the power connector, the new and old wires are soldered together and then pulled through. Please observe all requirements of protection class II. The connections must not come loose on their own, even under extreme heat. To do this, the wire is pulled through the eyelet, then twisted, and then soldered.
